Kristine Marie Photography is a wedding & portrait photography company established in 2011. Our work has been featured in several wedding blogs in the United States and print magazines, such as Ceremony Magazine.

We primarily serve the Southern California area, including San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside County. We also serve Yokohama, Yokosuka, and Tokyo, Japan. We are available for travel worldwide!

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to cherish our clients and provide storytelling images that will last for generations.

There are few things more rewarding to us than capturing a fleeting, blissful moment and granting it permanence in a photograph for people to enjoy.

Our Photography Style

Our photography style is romantic, timeless and genuine. We pose and direct clients in such a way that evokes genuine emotion, which results in natural poses. Romantics at heart, we love documenting love stories and capturing candid moments.

We want an amazing photography experience for our cherished clients. It’s with great gratitude that we photograph people in love at their happiest milestones.

About Kristine, The Editor & Owner

I remember making my little sister pose in our living room with a flower crown fashioned on her head. It was high school and I borrowed my mom’s Olympus point and shoot film camera for a photography project. That’s when the curiosity began. Many years later, that photo still hangs in my parents’ home.

After graduating from UC San Diego, I worked in several media and publishing companies, while photography continued to be just a hobby.

Fast forward to 2010… I’m married to a wonderful man who will prove to be my biggest fan. My husband gifted me my first DSLR camera with the encouragement to pursue my love for photography at all costs. I worked obsessively to develop my skills, while slowly building my business.

In 2011, a co-worker asked me to photograph their wedding. She loved her photos, and it lit a fire in me. Later, her sister hired me to photograph her wedding and my little business steadily grew from there.

In my previous professional career, I worked as a Media Editor. I incorporate knowledge of design and digital media development in my job as the Editor. I also invested in formal photography education. I attended New York Institute of Photography to supplement my hands-on experience as a self-taught photographer.

Being a creative entrepreneur has been an amazing journey. I’m inspired by nature, novels, beautiful light and the little joys of life (including my two dogs!) I’m grateful for the opportunity to document people’s legacies and love stories as they unfold. I hope to tell your story through photographs someday!

About Cara, Executive Photographer in San Diego, CA

In 2014, I left the east coast and drove across the country with my boyfriend in search of our next adventure together in California. The California lifestyle suits me pretty well. I am in love with the never-ending sunshine, the salty breeze, and the genuinely happy people I have come to meet.

I love being outside in nature, whether it’s lounging on the beach, hiking a new trail, or chasing a golden sunset. When I’m not working behind the camera, you can find me exploring a nearby city and having fun with my best friends, or reading a book that I just can’t put down.

I received my Bachelors of Photography degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2013. I shot my first wedding in 2011 and I have fallen in love wedding photography ever since.

I adore capturing the tiny details that make each occasion so special. I think the best moments are the moments that are real and authentic. These are the moments that you will want to remember and look back on years from now. My pictures are light and dreamy. I am drawn to soft hues, golden light, and images that capture the beauty of that moment.

I love working with people that are in love, fun and easy-going, and loves to try new things. I hope that we have the pleasure of working together!
